MEDICARE ACADEMY: DAY 1
Friday, July 14, 2006, 9:30am-4:00pm


  • How does Medicare fit intthe U.S. health care system?
  • What does Medicare's financial future look like?
  • How much responsibility does the government have for making health care affordable and available?
  • How much responsibility does each of us have for the care of our parents and grandparents?
  • How is Medicare's new prescription drug benefit different from the rest of the program? Why is it different? How has it worked sfar?
  • Could Medicare be expanded tcover everyone?
Medicare Academy features prominent health policy speakers, expert panels and interactive sessions, plus plenty of networking opportunities and a look at careers in health policy!

Registration is free and lunch is provided.

When: < t9:30am from 14 July Friday,>Medicare Academy (Part I)- Friday, July 14 from 9:30am t4:00pm. Medicare Academy (Part II)- Friday, August 4.

Where: Medicare Academy will be held at the Kaiser Family Foundation's Barbara Jordan Conference Center, 1330 G Street, NW, in Washington, DC From the MetrCenter station, take the 13th street exit.
