Cocktail reception and discussion forum on the nation's social insurance programs, held in conjunction with the American Society on Aging's 2017 conference.

Join the National Academy of Social Insurance for a cocktail reception and discussion forum on the nation’s social insurance programs and how they are addressing – and could better address – the challenges posed by growing inequality.

The forum will kick off with a summary of the Academy’s recent Report to the New Leadership and the American People on Social Insurance and Inequality, as well as remarks from several Academy members and distinguished policy experts. The bulk of the forum will be an interactive discussion with attendees about the current and future role of social insurance in addressing issues of inequality. Confirmed speakers include:

  • William Arnone, CEO, National Academy of Social Insurance
  • Carol Bogosian, President, CAB Consulting
  • Harold Pollack, Helen Ross Professor, The University of Chicago, School of Social Service Administration
